The Drug Enforcement Administration is warning the DEA registrant population of a fraud scheme in which scammers claim to be "Federal Agents" from the DEA CSOS Division who are requesting copies of DEA Registration(s), state license(s) and customer/supplier information. Please note that in order for registrants to utilize the Controlled Substance Ordering System (CSOS), applications and required supplemental information are only accepted via mail and are never requested without registrant initiation. If a registrant is seeking help with digital certificate download or renewals, a CSOS representative would ask the user for a security passcode only known to that user. Security concerns related to CSOS can be reported online https://www.deaecom.gov/support and/or by calling 1-877-DEA-ECOM (1-877-332-3266) toll free. The Drug Enforcement Administration Controlled Substance (CSOS) program certificate retrieval services are unavailable due to maintenance.

If you have any questions, please contact the CSOS helpdesk at 1-877-DEA-ECOM (1-877-332-3266) toll free.
